CLASS PLACEMENT
Returning students will be provisionally placed in class based on an evaluation from the previous academic year. However, the teacher has the authority to reassign a class level, following an evaluation of the student’s first few classes.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS
Arts Ballet Academy is closed on certain holidays and school vacation days. Sometimes closings are necessary because of inclement weather. Information about closings and announcements are updated on the website.

ABSENCES
Good attendance is imperative to a progressing as a dancer and an athlete. Please call or email Arts Ballet with advance notice of necessary absences. Students will be allowed to make-up classes at or below their level. Students with inconsistent attendance may be dismissed from their class and/or moved to another class when they cannot keep up with the syllabus as a result.

TARDINESS
Students more than 10 minutes late may be asked by their teacher to sit and observe the class, since they have missed the warm-up for injury prevention. It is also disrespectful to be tardy, and teaching dancers to have good class etiquette and be on time and prepared is important. Tardiness for unusual reasons are understood when they happen infrequently.

MAKE-UP CLASSES
Students are entitled to make-up classes per class in which they are registered at or below their level. You may not use make-ups to enroll in a new class. No make-up classes can be used during Performance Week.

PRESCHOOL CLASSES
A parent or caregiver must accompany students to class and remain available during the class for his/her needs (i.e. trips to the restroom). Please make sure to pick-up your child promptly upon class dismissal.

INJURY OR LOSS OF PROPERTY
The risk of injury exists in any dance, yoga, or physical activity. Parents and students are expected to consider and understand the risks before taking class. Arts Ballet cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss of property. A Hold Harmless Agreement/Waiver must be signed before students are allowed to participate in class and activities.

TUITION/WITHDRAWAL AGREEMENT
By registering for the 2020-2021 academic year, parents/students are obligated for the tuition, fees, and registration fees based on their enrollment. There is no refund of monthly tuition after the first of each month. Withdrawal from classes will be accepted in writing prior to the 1st of each month September through February. After March 1st, students withdrawing will forfeit the remaining tuition.

FAMILY DISCOUNT
A discount is given to families with more than one student enrolled in the academic year program for Arts Ballet Academy. To receive the family discount, you must register in person (not online).
The discounts are:

  • $5 off each student's monthly tuition of <$100 (monthly tuition)
  • $10 off each student's monthly tuition of >= $100 (monthly tuition)
  • $20 off each student's monthly tuition of >= $200 (monthly tuition)

REGISTRATION / INSURANCE FEE
A $50.00 registration fee is due for each student taking classes during each Academic Year. This helps pay for the studio insurance. No discounts may be taken on the registration fee; it is non-refundable.

LATE FEES
In place of the Late Fee, a credit card is required at the time of registration. A charge of the amount due on the account plus a 4% credit card fee will be made to the credit card if payment is not received by the 10th of the month.

RETURNED CHECK or INSUFFICIENT FUNDS FEE
A $35.00 returned check fee or Insufficient Funds will be added for any returned check.
