AGE 7-8
Primary ballet 1a & 1b
In this fundamental level, proper turnout of legs, pointing of feet and alignment of the body are improved and understood. These elements prepare your child for the continued study of ballet in the Classical Ballet Program. This is also the foundation for any dance: ballet, modern, jazz, etc. We will learn so many basics and practice skills, musicality, and creativity. Students should choose ballet 1b for the twice a week option (recommended), and the 1a option if they only want dance one time each week for now. The difference in training is 6 hours/month in 1A verses 12+ hours/month in 1B, therefore, the students in 1B progress faster and will have more than one role in our ballet performances.starting ballet at AGE 8

Elementary ballet 1a/1b & ballet 2a/2b
Elementary Students learn the structure of a traditional ballet class format in our three Elementary levels. The foundation of classical ballet technique is delivered in a formal classroom environment and students are offered elective classes to enhance their ballet training.Elective Classes
Arts Ballet offers a variety of optional classes in modern, jazz, tap, contemporary, and acting. These elective classes are designed to enrich ballet training and help foster a well-rounded and versatile student. They may be used as electives as well as individual classes at a student's skill-level.Placement Classes
We require all new students ages 8-19 with any former dance training to attend a placement class so Artistic Staff may determine their appropriate level of study. These are easy to schedule with us and are free. Please call 757.504.4450 or email artsballet@gmail.com for an appointment.
