Intermediate ballet 3a/b/c
Students at the Intermediate levels develop their ballet technique by meeting 3 -5 times per week. Students complete the Intermediate levels with knowledge of the full ballet vocabulary, as well as earning pointe shoes when their age, development, ballet skills, and strength are ready for the rigors of pointework.Advanced 4, 5, & 6
Students who to commit to an Advanced level of extracurricular dance training take classes focused on strength, speed, a more complex combination of steps, and artistic development. They take classes 3-6 days each week and reach the highest levels of training and performance opportunities. Students at this level may do this for the joy of dance, for joy and goals of pursuing dance in college/career, or for joy and pre-professional development, training, and advice.open/recreational program
Upon entering level 3A/B, students may opt to participate in 1-2 technique classes per week or a flexible/non-core program. This allows them to pursue outside interests and opportunities in addition to their Arts Ballet Training and can be altered as they grow between 6-12 grades. Dancers should take at least one ballet class or modern class at their skill level to be eligable for a role in group performances. Pointe training requires dancers to attend 3 technique classes each week to have good training, keep up strength and skills, and reduce injuries.Elective Classes
Arts Ballet offers a variety of optional classes in technique and subjects other than ballet. These elective classes are designed to enrich ballet training and help foster a well-rounded and versatile student. They may be used as electives as well as individual classes at a student's skill-level.advice for starting ballet at AGE 11-19
